Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3553574.

The railing at the Melody Road end of the footpath linking Timbertop with Melody is broken again. 4th time this has broken this year after being repaired!

  • Not sure what "Appropriate action has been taken to resolve the issue" and stating State Changed To Fixed means in relation to the work being carried out. As of this morning nothing has changed as per the attached photo. Apologies if the work is still to be carried out!

  • As at Saturday 30/7 I note that the railing had been fixed although the missing railing had not been replaced still leaving a drop down into the road.

As of today, Tuesday 2/8 the railing is broken again!!!! This last fix lasted 3 days, at best!

As mentioned before this railing needs to be lifted and reset in fresh concrete with metal connections properly secured as well. The missing railing needs to be replaced as well.

These fixes are a complete waste of tax payers money.

  • The issue has been re-attended and additional works completed. If the issue re-occurs please re-report via: https://fix.bromley.gov.uk

  • As at 4/8/22 the broken railing is still broken and the missing railing is still missing!

Not sure how you can say that "The issue has been re-attended and additional works completed" on 2/8 - either your contractors lied about re-attending or the repair lasted less than 24 hours.

Please have a manager attend when this work is next completed as it seems such a simple task cannot be completed. Plus there is still a missing railing!

This is an ongoing waste of tax payers money.

  • Update at 5/8 - the missing railing has now been replaced and the broken railing has been repaired and concreted in which hopefully will hold the railing in place.

Hopefully this repair will last as it is more thorough.
