Fallen tree branches
Reported via mobile in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 18:26, Thu 26 May 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3554539.
My property is located behind St Mary's Church.
Three very large trees are overhanging on our garden. There are a lot of loose branches which might break at any moment.
I heard a loud crack and found two large branches in my garden.
The branches are very large and need to be removed. I am also worried that this is likely to occur again.

Growing anxious on the investigation of this issue, I have children who play under these trees which are growing in St Mary's church. There are more dead branches over hanging the property and these are very big trees,. As you can see from original complaint this is not a little twig that fell during the day! These trees are far to big and of I'll health to be ignored

The trees have outgrown their size in the area and they pose a real danger now to our neighbourhood. I have a 4 year old and 1 year old playing in the garden and my neighbour had a branch that fell in her garden. My child was playing not far away half an hour before it fell. The trees are actually dangerous to the people and our building and they need to be trimmed down by at least a 1/3 as an emergency before autumn winds come. Please get it sorted asap!

How was it resolved? Tree surgeon did not get an order from Bromley council to trim down the trees and the guy came to inspect the trees when it was completely dark! Can this actually be sorted and the dangerous trees trimmed down?

We live behind st Mary's church & reported that branches regularly fall from the trees situated in the church yard into our garden the last big branch just missing a vehicle. We have children playing in this area as does our neighbours who have also sent notice of this issue. During this time from original report back in May we have had a surveyor & a tree surgeon attend both saying that the trees need of attention. The problem now is that a works order has not been produced for the job to be done but according to a Bromley council email the problem "is fixed". As you can see in the picture the trees have not been " dead wooded" or tended to in any way & in the weather that we have just had, the trees have now dropped more branches & damaged the property at number 4.

Please accept our apologies for manner in which this enquiry has been handled. The original enquiry was attended as an emergency call out and a follow-up site visit was undertaken resulting in several works orders being created within the church grounds. The work associated to this tree is to remove deadwood only. This work is with our contractor who assure us it will be attended to within the next 5 working days.
