Hi - I have received the updated report showing no further action required but the paving slab has not been replaced although it and its location appear to have been marked with paint. Just want to make sure that this issue is a work in progress.

Hi Post repair it appears the slab was displaced by someone using the steps shortly after repair. I assume that the slab was then placed at the bottom of the steps by someone as it had become loose and dangerous. Can I suggest as these steps are heavily used that post repair they are blocked off (with repair signage) temporarily to allow cement/mortar to set. Otherwise I think the same outcome is going to repeatably occur to everybody's frustration (yours and mine).

After several attempts by yourselves to fix this step it is again moved out of place. Several residence have nearly suffered injury - trip/fall hazard.
Please repair properly for the long term.

As per the previous update at 16:00 Hrs 2nd August the steps have not been repaired. Do not understand why the job was marked as 'Appropriate action has been taken to resolve the issue, as no action has been taken. It has now been like this since 3rd week in June.

I don't know this report has been marked as 'Appropriate action has been taken to resolve the issue' as no action has been taken and the step has not been repaired. Why do you keep closing this report when no action has been taken?

Whilst on holiday I received an update "re-attended and additional works completed". On my return I see that no work has been done and the slab is still displaced. This is post an inspection from a council officer.
