Neighbours constantly blocking road using household items to "reserve" parking spots
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 10:36, Monday 6 June 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
The residents of Clarence Avenue are consistently blocking the road with household items (i.e. children's car seat, compost bins, cones) to "reserve" parking outside their own houses. This is a public road, we all pay the same council and road tax, so nobody should be reserving a spot and we should all have access to park anywhere. Please contact the culprits concerned - numbers 5, 7, 9 and 17.

Thank you for contacting Bromley council with your concerns of the highway being blocked to reserve parking. I have visited the location twice this week and have noted that on both occasions there has been nothing blocking the highway. I will continue to monitor this for a period of time.

Thank you for continuing to monitor. Please see the attached photo taken today, again a neighbour is reserving parking in the public road. Also please note, spaces are most often reserved in the evenings, which could be why the road was clear when you visited if it was daytime.

Thank you for you additional comments. I have liaised with the alleged properties and explained that they have to refrain from doing this, as this could lead to further action being taken against them.
