Litter at bus stop
Reported via iOS in the Litter/Leaves category anonymously at 08:44, Wed 15 June 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3597622.
Litter is strewn around the bus stop yet again. The bin needs to be changed to a bin with a flap to stop rubbish being taken out by the birds and foxes

Resident has called in as the rubbish is this area has again got all the contents all over the pavement, would this be able to be looked at as soon as possible, Resident thinks it could be foxes getting in to the bin so maybe have a different bin in the area.

This is a continuing problem. LBB has been asked to change the type of bin (one with flaps so that vermin cannot pick out the rubbish) but this request has been ignored as usual. This is a health hazard and is reported regularly. When will LBB fix this issue?

Still open, via questionnaire -
The Council do not install litter bins with flaps as these could also trap animals on the inside of the bin which would be distressing for the wildlife and may prove hazardous to operatives emptying containers.
If the bin continues to be attacked by wildlife then it will be removed from the location to stop spillages.
