FTR Sat 14 May: Anti-Social Littering on The Green

Reported via desktop in the Litter/Leaves category by Friends of Green Street Green Common at 15:07, Friday 17 June 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

For the record (FTR), the nettles are growing and enclosing the oft reported 'hidden bench' on The Green, a magnet for people eating and drinking, and then tossing their litter into the undergrowth. We retrieved, photographed and picked up these items on our #LitterWalk. The littering is always worse here than at/around any other bench on The Green. As a consequence we have requested numerous times for the bench to be moved forward and the space opened up. As it is, the area around the 'hidden bench' is often unsightly, and unwelcome for women and girls. #MakeSpaceForGirls
