Dangerous path by fast junction
Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 18:23, Saturday 2 July 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
The roadside pathway leading along the edge of Baston Manor Road is extremely narrow forcing walkers to go very close to traffic travelling at up to 40mph as it leaves West Common Road and joins Baston Manor Road. The path forms part of the London Outer Orbital Path (London LOOP) so is heavily used by long distance walkers as well as local families visiting the coffee shops and pubs in Keston. Ideally the path side vegetation needs cutting back 3-4 metres to allow a new path surface to form well away from the road edge. To prevent cars falling off the road edge and hitting pedestrians please also consider installing a high kerb at this junction or realignment, to slow traffic.
