Turning right out of Old Hill very obscured

Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 16:55, Wednesday 13 July 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The trees have been pruned on shire lane but visibility when turning right out of Old Hill is still very limited. There is a large tree which if removed would provide much better sight of oncoming traffic.

Failing this the installation of a mirror on the opposite side of the road would make this much safe to exit Old Hill.

  • Apologies in the delay in responding, the issue had to be referred through multiple departments to answer in full. The area in question containing the vegetation does not belong to the Council and there is no requirement for the landholder to provide visibility. Our Traffic section have stated that the installation of mirrors on the Highway is very rare, and that unfortunately this location does not meet our criteria for mirrors to be installed.
