Complete Fire Hazard in Mine Shaw woodlands area.

Reported via desktop in the Tree Vandalised category anonymously at 23:56, Wednesday 20 July 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

Please deal with this urgently, thank you. Whoever the contractor was that cut down all the branches from trees (some fallen and some likely to fall) and then simply piled them up leaving them in huge piles to dry out (instead of safely removing them) has left the area as a complete fire hazard. If these now fully dried-out piles of branches were to catch fire then with help from the wind there could easily be a huge fire in this area. In the past there have been several fires started by young people in these woodlands, if that happened before all these branches and dried leaves etc were cleared away properly, particularly on a windy day (as was today), then it could very quickly engulf a large area, spreading rapidly through these very dry woodlands which are adjacent to houses and gardens with highly combustible sheds, outhouses etc. Please ensure these large piles of dry branches and leaves are urgently removed from the woods, possibly by the contractor who should never have left them in such a dangerous (precarious) situation. Thank you very much.
