Tarmac footpath badly distorted by tree roots

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 11:13, Mon 15 August 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3754656.

Junction of Rodway Road and Hawes Road. Serious trip and walking hazard due to tarmac footpath surface being push upwards by tree roots. I have tripped on this - and have seen wheelchair and mobility scooter users having difficulty passing this and even resorted to using the road instead of pavement to avoid, which is not safe for them - Been like this for over a year

  • This has not been fixed - I suspect your contractor went to the wrong place - they were putting second layer of tarmac on the footpath round the corner beside no.1 Hawes Road last week - which was not needed - but the seriously bad paving that I reported is as is and has not been fixed
