Cars blocking access to garages 1-10
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 11:10, Tue 6 September 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3806295.
The issue was reported in May and passed to the highways to investigate but with no response. We are continuing to get get cars parking on the public highway next to garage 1-10 blocking access for garage owners, but also making access difficult for emergency vehicles. What is being done to resolve this issue ?

Where expressed permission is given by the land owner or a managing agent acting on the freeholder's behalf Bromley Council will investigate nuisance vehicles on privately owned land.
There is a non-refundable administration charge per vehicle for the investigation of vehicles on private land. The investigation includes site visits, all relevant DVLA checks and the serving of any required notices on the vehicle. If there is no interested party or the vehicle is not claimed by an owner and deemed to be abandoned the removal of the vehicle will be undertaken free of charge by Bromley.
You can apply and pay for the investigation of a vehicle on private land online by using the link https://www.bromley.gov.uk/ site/ xfp/ scripts/ xforms_form.aspx?formID=238

The cars are not parking on private land - they are parking on the public highway blocking clear access to garages on private land and at times restricting access for vehicles to turnaround at the top end of Porchester Mead.
With due respect your suggestion on investigating nuisance vehicles on private land is incorrect as the issue is being caused by inconsiderate parking on the public highway,
