Old manhole cover bangs loudly; repair not successful
Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 16:24, Tue 13 September 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3823053.
[FAO London Borough of Bromley.] At the corner of Tredown Road and Newlands Park, there is an old manhole cover that bangs very loudly when vehicles drive over it. About a month ago, this was repaired (covered with tarmac), but not enough tarmac was used so it cracked within weeks and is now back to making a loud noise unfortunately. Residents would be grateful if this could be repaired again with the correct amount of tarmac to cover and isolate the manhole. Many thanks.

Bromley's responsibility on Newlands Road only extends to number 107. The cover in the road is beyond that at the mouth of the junction with Tredown Road and is therefore the responsibility of Lewisham Council to inspect and assess.
