Uneven surface. Tent Peg Lane car park.

Reported via desktop in the Park Repairs category by Jennie Randall at 20:08, Saturday 17 September 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

On the 14th November 2015, I made the following report..."Tent Peg Lane car park. Just a few metres beyond the yellow barway gate, straight ahead a section of tarmac has dropped down several centimetres in a straight line of well over a metre in length. It is a trip hazard, especially when partially covered by leaves. It could also cause damage to the underside of cars. The tarmac surface needs to be made level again". In response to this, on the 4th December 2015, I was sent the message that "Our Property Maintenance Team have included the reported issue in their ongoing maintenance works". Since I made this report, precisely nothing has happened. I had a complaint from a member of the public about this matter yesterday and when I looked at it I found it to be far worse now than it was when I initially reported it. Why, after almost seven years has nothing been done about it?

  • The tarmac cycle and footpaths out of the car park towards the park also require subsidence repairs. Simply not good enough to slap pink(!)paint on the deep gaps and then forget about them for months on end. Outstanding for the best part of a year! Is there ANY plan to fix these properly and the various other trip hazzards and gaps along the pathways in Jubilee park? As usual, there has been an attempt to fix some of the damage, but predictably, it looks like the money ran out and less than half the job was completed!

  • What about all the cracks in the access paths highlighted by your contractors in pink paint months ago which currently remain unrepaired. These are dangerous too you know!

  • If you call this a repair, I'm a monkey's uncle!

  • I am extremely disappointed that after seven years of waiting since I first reported this problem the "appropriate action" that has been taken has not addressed the issue at all. The whole area needs to be completely levelled off, not left uneven as it has been. It is still a trip hazard for pedestrians and dangerous for the undersides of vehicles. It is simply not good enough.

  • Why no further action, still clearly a trip hazzard for leasure visitors, walkers and commuters. Hazzard hidden under leaves at this time of year, so you could do with sweeping them up too!
