JDT Compound at top of Club Gardens Road

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 15:09, Wednesday 9 November 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

JDT have moved their compound further up Club Gardens Road to the junction with Hayes Lane. This means it is impossible to turn in to the road from Hayes Lane if people are exiting as only one side of the road is available. This needs to be moved further down Club Gardens Road (to where it was!) as it is a danger to traffic on Hayes Lane.

  • This compound is still in a dangerous position right at the top of Club Gardens Road not allowing anybody to exit Hayes Lane if somebody is waiting to exit Club Gardens Road. In addition to this there is now a large pile of dirt reaching over half way across the road in Club Gardens Road and it is unlit. This needs URGENT attention

  • Thank you for your enquiry we are making contact with JDT, A meeting will be held, and we will update again.

  • Compound still there in dangerous position. They are also regularly blocking the road with lorries or other plant whilst loading/unloading the dirt. This road is used a lot by local residents and this needs fixing ASAP

Posted anonymously at 16:37, Wednesday 16 November 2022

  • Closing a well used road is not the answer. Why was the compound moved from it's previous (and not dangerous) location in the first place? Why can it not be moved back there and the road reopened? Last time this road was closed there was an accident on the bend in Kechill Gardens due to increased traffic.

Posted anonymously at 16:29, Thursday 17 November 2022

  • Thank you for your enquiry, The road is closed due to a connection that needs to be made in the middle of the road. The road will be reopened by Monday.

Posted by Bromley Council at 12:05, Tuesday 22 November 2022

  • You might want to get the ROAD CLOSED sign replaced as it has gone missing from the bottom (Kechill Gardens end) of Club Gardens Road and people keep trying to drive up there!!

Posted anonymously at 12:40, Wednesday 23 November 2022

  • ROAD CLOSED sign still not there and an ambulance just tried to go up the road as wasn't aware it was closed, how long does it take?

Posted anonymously at 12:29, Thursday 24 November 2022

  • Thank you for your enquiry the sign will be replaced tomorrow, and road reopened on Monday.

Posted by Bromley Council at 19:57, Thursday 24 November 2022

  • OK today is Wednesday, not Monday and the road has been "reopened", but the dangerous compound is still obstructing people from leaving Hayes Lane, which was the original point about the complaint, how is this allowed????? It would be better if the top of Club Gardens Road was closed to all traffic as this junction is dangerous.

Posted anonymously at 16:05, Wednesday 30 November 2022

  • Compound finally moved, now junction back to normal danger when cars are parked on Hayes Lane

    State changed to: Fixed
