Curb sweeper doesn't do job properly - or at all

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4011378.
The photo shows what the whole side of Albemarle Road with building with even numbers has looked like for years from St. George's Hall to Downs Bridge Road. Canals are completely blocked, and thick layers of leaves now mixed with mud line the curbs due to years of this side of the street not being swept. I often see the curb sweeping car go by without sweeping. This costs the council and taxpayer money and the job isn't done. That causes floods when rains hit because the canals are blocked. When he sweeps, he does only the side of the street with the bike lane, and even that only from Downs Bridge Road to Westgate Road. He never does even the side with the bike lane from Westgate to Beckenham Junction. He sees parked cars on the side with even numbers and passes them by. He should get into the gaps between parked cars and thoroughly sweep at least them, as everything counts. Another solution is to send him to sweep this side of the whole of Albemarle Road on a weekday between 10 and 3 when the fewest cars are parked there. Please send him to sweep the whole of the side with even numbers and the side with the bike lane from Westgate to Beck Junction and remind him that his job for which we and the council pay is to do it all regularly, because only then the canals stay clear and maintaining the curbs regularly is easier because thick layers of mud due to years of no sweeping do not form.

I saw the sweeping car today and he did a much better job. He should do a good job on BOTH SIDES of the street EVERY WEEK and automatically, not only when I report it. If he does a good job the first time and every time, I won't have to add to your time with more reports, the street will be cleaner and easier to maintain, hence the job will be done faster as maintenance becomes easier, the canals will be clear of leaves, the leaf+mud sludge won't fall into the canals and clog the sewage, and the world will be a better place. I sweep what I can of the sidewalks. If the sweeping car helps me with the curbs, we'll have clean streets. Preventive maintenance is cheaper for the council in the long term and satisfaction of everyone is then higher. Easy.
