Trees growing in Harvington Sports Ground are overhanging Barts Close and some appear to be dead trees (no foliage growing even in the summer months). Query tree preservation rules and what can be cut back or cut down.

Thank you for what your contractor did yesterday but this did not address the major issues which are near the junction of Barts Close & Eden Park Avenue. Please see photos attached. Can any action be taken to cut back these overhanging branches please? Contractor did not shred and remove all cuttings from yesterdays work done. Can these be remove as well please?

The works undertaken to this tree are consistent with the instructions to our contractor and relate to an identified health & safety or highway obstruction issue, please note that works beyond that to reduce the tree size to allow more light, prune clear of telephone lines etc will not be taken as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy (https://www.bromley.gov.uk/ downloads/ file/ 3334/ tree_management_strategy_2016-2020)
