Leaf Clearing Required

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 18:57, Wednesday 11 January 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The footpath running down from Valley View to Lillie Road plus all its side paths, ie to the garages etc all need the leaves clearing up.

Additionally the leaves need clearing from the grass areas as there are so many that they have killed off quite a bit of the grass as the leaves have not been cleared. The whole area will need reseeding as well.

  • Thank you for reattending, although it does look like from the ridges of leaves by the side of the footpath that many leaves were swept/blown onto the grass verges rather than cleared.

Secondly there appears to have been no attempt to clear the leaves from the grass verge meaning 1) they are starting to blow back onto the footpath again which will then need re sweeping and 2) its killing off what is left of the grass.

Please reattend, again, and clear all the leaves in this area as originally requested and arrange for it to be reseeded in the spring.

  • Thank you for reattending again, although I am not sure what action was taken. As you can see from the photos nothing seems to have changed, the grass is still covered in leaves and as they have not ben cleared they have started to blow back across the footpath which now needs a clear, again!

Please reattend, again, and clear all the leaves in this area as originally requested and arrange for it to be reseeded in the spring.

Please also explain why it takes three visits to action one request and why it was not done as part of your leaf clear program.

  • As at Sunday morning there are still a significant amount of leaves on the grass, in some places it still looks like they have just been blown from the footpath onto the grass. As you can see some of these leaves have already started to blow onto and build up on the footpath.

You have also not answered - "Please also explain why it takes three visits to action one request and why it was not done as part of your leaf clear program." Or confirmed that the area will be re grassed in the spring as most of the grass has died off as has been covered in leaves for so long.
