Streetlamp out

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

There is a streetlamp which is not working at all, right outside number 4 Rydal Drive, BR4 9QH. It leaves the area totally dark and is thus very dangerous. Anyone could have an accident and they would sue the council. Please fix ASAP. It was OK 3 days/nights ago.

  • Hi, this streetlight remains out and the area is now in comlete darkness. A lady tripped over 2 nights ago and a further acident happened yesterday. PLEASE fix light urgently.

  • Hi, someone came to fix the lamp today and went up the ladder to repair it. Sadly, it is still not working tonight. Please re-attend urgently.

  • We have investigated and identified there is an issue with the electricity supply for this asset. Bromley Council have contacted UK Power Networks and asked them to schedule works to restore this fault.

  • As of 26/1 the light is still out and the whole area remains dark and very dangerous.

    Please can you chase UK Power Networks to escalate their response.

  • We have had no streetlight here since 13th January. This is ridiculous. Please can you once again chase UK Power Networks to escalate their urgent response.

  • It really is a problem that this street light is not working. I agree with the other poster/ contributor that it’s ridiculous that UK Power Networks are taking so long to act. This corner of the road is particularly dark without the light and I am concerned about safety and potential for crime as a result. Is there an expected date for it to be repaired?

  • The streetlight is still out! Surely the worst it can be is a local fuse on the basis other streetlights are working and they would be loop in fed. The faulty streetlight is close to a bend in a narrow road and produces a large unlit area. Please contact UK power to get a date to repair confirmed.

  • This is beyond ridiculous! Should we hold back paying our council tax until this is fixed? Over 3 and half weeks and still no sign of a repair. PLEASE can you get UK Power to visit and repair urgently. The area is pitch black and very dangerous. FIX IT!
