Large pothole near the bus stop at the top of Stock hill

On my way to work on 25/1/23 I hit the above pothole, after inspecting the tyre I noticed a bulge in the side wall so took it to a local garage who stated that it needed replacing. Can you please advise how I go about claiming for the replacement tyre? I have photos of both the damaged tyre and pothole.

  • Unfortunately I haven’t been advised on how to recover costs for new tyre. Please advise.

  • Any request for compensation relating to an issue on a Bromley maintained highway must be processed via an insurance claim process. Bromley currently have a shared Insurance Service with Sutton Council and an online claim form can be completed and submitted via Sutton’s website: https://www.sutton.gov.uk/ info/ 200436/ customer_services/ 1146/ insurance_service/ 2
