Pedestrian Crossing at junction of East Street with West Street. It is doubtful whether the crossing white markings now comply with Highway Regulations.

It is doubtful whether the pedestrian crossing white markings now comply with Highway Regulations as they are exceptionally faded/worn away and need repainting with standard highway white marking paint which should be far more durable. I have noticed the deterioration of this crossing over the last few months and am now concerned about the resultant safety issue.

The location has been reviewed and an order to renew the markings here has been raised with our contractor and added to their relining programme. Refreshment should be completed within the next month.
