Dragging out road works

Reported via mobile in the Utility Works and Temporary Traffic Lights category anonymously at 18:48, Thursday 30 March 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4378751.

The road works have going on for this little section of road outside the new lidls in mottingham road for at least two months, the time this is taking is unacceptable the diversions in the side roads is causing chaotic cut through sand motorcycles driving on the pavement, why is this work taking so long when they have only had to reduce the size of pavement something should be done to chase these contractors up to finish job promptly i drive past every day and you see at least four workers standing around, god knows how long it would take them to redo pavements outside the other shops who are losing trade, Bromley council get a grip and get your finger out, sort out this very poor service

  • The works have taken longer than expected due to issues with Openreach ducting which was uncovered outside the library, which had to be re-routed before the footway works could be completed. The only way the works could be completed safely was using a temporary traffic light system and on occasion a road closure.

All works are due to be complete by the 6th February.
