Hole in pavement

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 20:35, Thursday 4 May 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4518531.

Hole developing into the sewer below and as a result the pavement is uneven and we note a second hole is developing. A not so pleasant side effect is that rats are coming up from the sewer and digging holes in our garden.

  • No holes observed on the public highway where indicated. One observed by cover on private property and this would be a matter for the property owner to address, not LBB.

  • Please see attached photos of the pavement I referred to in my earlier comments. The photo shown by Bromley Council is my neighbours drive, which is private property, the photos attached are of the public pavement between number 13 and 15 Sherwood Way. Please check/note the uneven surface of the pavement due to these holes. I have also included a photo of my garden, just a metre a way from the hole in the pavement where rats are digging their way up.
