PotHoles Chelsfield Lane leading to Chelsfiled Village

Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 22:00, Monday 15 May 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4558637.

The pot holes in Chelsfield Lane leading to Chelsfiled Village are getting ridiculous. The actual edge of the road on both sides are just holes and are getting bigger by the day. The whole road needs t be resurfaced and finished properly . This happens every years with this lane and this is not good enough

  • As stated, it is the part of Chelsfield Lane that runs from Warren Road to Allandale Place. It is absolutely dreadful, full of deep potholes and deep gulleys either side of the road. Rather than keep wasting money on the quick poor quality repair of individual holes, the whole lane needs digging up and resurfacing. It is a danger to both motorists and the numerous cyclists that use the lane. Traffic at the moment is particularly bad due to the traffic lights on Court Road, so I can’t take photos.

  • As per the original post, and my clarification of the problem, the part of Chelsfield Lane in question needs fully resurfacing not just patching up - which is obviously the plan. Whilst some of the larger potholes have been chalked around, a lot have been missed completely and the deep edges totally ignored. Can someone in authority please look at how often this road has been patched up in the past and maybe even drive down it to see the problem for themselves. Please stop wasting money on botched repairs and get the job done properly once and for all.
