Back Gate Access
Reported via mobile in the Public Right of Way footpath category by Janet Blackman at 18:27, Thu 25 May 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4597183.
An excellent jo is done in upkeep of pitch and putt area of Sparrows Den, even the nettles are cut! Unfortunately, some houses back entrances into Sparrows Den are completely overgrown with chest high nettles. It would be very helpful if a pathway through the nettles could be cut to back gates. Many children and grandchildren use these access points into Sparrows Den as it avoids using a busy road round to the ope space.

Clear paths through nettles have still not been cleared to a few houses. Those that have been cleared need maintaining, especially with the High incidence of ticks this year.

Some neighbours are doing Council/pitch and putt owners job and keeping nettles down to encourage wildflowers and meadow grasses, but 4 properties still cannot access gates to help with keeping brambles and nettles under control. The fallen logs and small trees are good for wildlife but not accessible by it. New photos attached. No change.
