Large tree roots have penetrated our drive and are causing the drain to sink and drive way break up

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4607638.
We reported the tree outside of 70 kings hall road regarding it breaking up the pavement And causing damage to our driveway . This was reported in Oct 21 and passed to Sutton to deal with . Responsibilities were denied . Work has now commenced on the boundary wall whilst digging out the footing large thick roots have been found which have caused the drain to sink and driveway break up

Thank you for your enquiry. You have contacted us because you believe that roots from a Borough tree are causing damage to a light structure within your property, (footpaths, garden walls, driveways, fences etc).
I must therefore ask you to complete excavation works to expose the root that is affecting this structure and then contact our Insurance Department. Please quote any reference numbers relating to your enquiry at this time. The Insurance Department will advise you accordingly and may send an Arboriculturalist to inspect and produce a report which will be considered by the Council’s Insurance Department.
If it is not possible to expose the roots then please contact us anyway as an officer may inspect, however the more evidence provided the easier it will be for our insurance section to evaluate your claim.
