Drain totally blocked

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4715324.

This drain appears to be totally blocked. No water runs into it in rain and it is like this for a couple of the drains going up the hill on this side of the road. Please could it be cleaned out.

  • The drainage service providers were unable to lift the gully grate as it is stuck, we will arrange for it to be freed by the Highways Department and once this is done, the gully crew will return and clean the asset.

  • Sorry that is taking longer than usual to resolve but we are waiting for confirmation that the stuck cover has been freed.

    The drain is getting worse. Please can this be sorted before winter. It’s very dangerous as pedestrians are having to walk into Shortlands Road which is very busy. Cars are also taking the corner wide and today I nearly witnessed an accident. Please can this be investigated urgently. It’s not acceptable.
