Low hanging trees and brunches
Reported via mobile in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 13:57, Mon 3 July 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4744308.
Long hanging trees and branches are obstructing the left turn on Bromley Road / Manor Road traffic lights. The trees and branches are very heavy and when bigger vehicle turning left is banging and breaking the branches which is dangerous for trespassing pedestrians and walkers.

Unfortunately nothing was done by the contractors. The dry and dangerous trees are still hanging on the pedestrian pavement near the traffic lights on Bromley Road/ Manor Road. I think someone has to go and check on them.

Due to three recent storms which has resulted in a high volume of tree related emergency callouts which the teams are making progress working their way through. The storm clear up process may impact causing delays for routine works raised for enquiries. The contractor is in hand to visit site to undertake works. Thank you for your patience.

This street view from Sept 2023 shows a several dead trees along the road here - looks like ash die-back.
The bark has come off a lot of the branches and they will fall sooner rather than later.

Apologise for the delay in action, previous work raised was for an emergency call out. New works have been raised to remove dead trees, lift and cut back all trees and vegetation from the pavement and road. Clear all signage affected by trees and vegetation. This work has been passed to our contractor to action and will be completed in due course.
State changed to: No further action

Hello, I’m shocked why this case was closed when is still not resolved?? That case shouldn’t be closed even someone else commented and complained earlier today that the issue is still there. Very disappointing from the action Bromley council is taking by closing the complaints without resolution. This complaint was logged last year in July 2023 and is ongoing, that should stay open until the job is completed.

Thanks for update, the problems persists though a fallen tree has been cut back. The pavement has been gradually encroached upon by vegetation and debris from the adjacent land. Only where there has been some utility work is the pavement restored to is original and intended width. It remains a hazard to pedestrians and motorist as often the traffic lights are obscured. Why is there no Borough inspection and enforcement?

Thank you for the comment, works have been raised to cut the vegetation back and has been passed to our contractor. I will pass your concerns to the high way department regarding the utilities.
