Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4950311.
Please add a 'Penge East Station' double sided blue finger sign to the existing finger post on the corner of Newlands Park (Station Parade) and Venner Rd. For the public benefit. Surprisingly for strangers to the area, Penge East Station is very poorly signed from the east side and even the visible footbridge has no 'Penge East Station' sign on it. There are several fingerposts on the West Side of the railway.

An engineer has investigated this request and advised that they do not feel any additional signage for the station is required at this location. Too many signs often clutter the road and can be confusing. New signage is only added when absolutely necessary.

Please reconsider. There is no indication of the existence or name of Penge East Station on the north side of the station, at the junction of Newlands Park and Venner Rd. There are two signs to bus stops and one for the Green Chain Walk. There is no fingerpost to this major station.
On the south High St side there is a fingersign.
I attach photos of that sign and also of finger signs either side of Kent House Station by comparison.
I would not have asked if I did not think a sign was needed.
One finger sign of about 25cm x 60cm is a modest and useful addition and not a proliferation of signage.
Please reconsider in the public interest.
