Fallen young tree
Reported via desktop in the Young Tree Requires Maintenance category anonymously at 11:46, Friday 8 September 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4972324.
Another badly maintained tree has succumbed to poor care and has given up and died. There is a number of trees along Links Way which may or may not survive until next year due to poor care. I could not water them all myself. Please send someone, anyone, to clear this tree, the various branches and other litter along the length of Links Way before the grass is mowed.
Thank you for your report, this is now being investigated. Information on our services and the timeframes we aim to respond in can be found: http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices

The Tree Team is aware of the dead trees along this road and they will be cleared and replaced in due course as our teams are currently busy watering newly planted trees during this exceptional heat. We are aware that of the many challenges facing newly planted trees placed in urban streets and we are aware of the importance of the care required to get them established so that they survive and grow to maturity in order to provide the many environmental services trees provide. We kindly ask all residents who are willing and interested to water trees in addition to our crews who water them in the summer. Please take all required precautions if you chose to also water the trees. The extra water will ensure their best chances of survival and good growth. See more info at Arboricultural Association - Watering young trees in dry weather
Our aim is to establish a Forest of Street Trees through the LBB Treemendous Project over the next 5 years and we kindly appreciate the tree care given by residents to ensure every tree is established well and can grow to maturity. See our web site for more information and updates Treemendous tree planting underway – London Borough of Bromley. For issues regarding the anti social behaviour of littering and mowing frequencies, please raise a separate enquiry for the appropriate ground maintenance team to address. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

This fallen tree is still here and the grass has been mowed around it. P.s. It rained last night.
