FAILED (yet again.....) repair round double drain grill

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5404508.

On west bound carriageway: potentially dangerous to cyclists etc....

As per attached 7am Saturday 6 January photos......

  • Five weeks on……when will repairs be undertaken?

    Please advise….

    Photos showing further deterioration (and increased danger to cyclists in particular on this narrow, busy, ‘fast moving’ A road, taken 8am Sunday 11 February.

  • Thank you for your report regarding this issue. Bromley are aware of the significant volume of works raised and outstanding with our contractor and we are continuing to monitor and liaise with them over this outstanding schedule of works. Our Officers are not able to give precise timeframes to individual jobs at this moment but are continuing to undertake regular safety inspections and check any reported issues. We will continue to work with our contractor to ensure that all outstanding jobs are addressed as quickly as they are able.

  • Why are you ‘…unable to provide a date of completion….’? Are you not the statutory highways authority employing competent, professional contractors to maintain and ensure safe OUR highways and footways?

    Why? There must be a reason/reasons….what are they?

    We are well aware of the ongoing FAILURES of the Council’s contractor, Riney…..

    Is this the reason?

    And yet you report on page 5 of this week’s Newsshopper, see attached photo…

    How can you write this? Who wrote it?
