There is a dead tree outside our house at 86 Charterhouse Road, br6 9ew
It would be great if this could be replaced with a new tree

Thank you for your enquiry. Works are raised and in hand to be completed by the contractor to remove the dead tree. A replacement has been added to the planting schedule 2024/25 which is in hand to be planted next planting season starting in November running through to March 2025.

Please accept our apologies for the delays, the works have been taken off our incumbent contractor and issued to a third party contractor for completion. We envisage that the contractor will take 6-8 weeks to complete them.

The third party contractor you used, was truly awful and cut the tree down onto our hedge. This caused a lot of damage, which we view as criminal damage. It’s taken 20 years to grow the hedge and cannot be repaired quickly.
I do not believe they knew what they were doing or gave any thought for their surroundings. To let you know we will be looking for compensation.
