Drains outside 95 South Eden Park Road blocked

Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain category anonymously at 19:52, Thursday 1 August 2024

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6305206.

I have mentioned this before. The drain outside 95 South Eden Park Road gets blocked regularly as the silt and rubbish accumulates on the corner a the road is uneven. I clear it regularly but when it rains heavily the resin overflows. In tonight’s very heavy rain the flood was halfway up my drive. Please could you arrange for the drains at this junction to be cleared to prevent further flooding

  • The highways gullies at this location have been inspected after the recent flash floods and the gullies are functioning and flowing as normal. Unfortunately, the issue in some areas during periods of severe and heavy rainfall is that surface water drainage assets can reach maximum capacity preventing rainfall from draining away quicker than usual from the road surface which can then cause problems from mild ponding to actual flooding of the area. If this issue recurs during normal rainfall, then please raise under a new report and the area neighbourhood officer will re-investigate. This report is now closed on FMS. NO5
