Bromley has the powers to deal with abandoned or untaxed vehicles only. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as we do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence. Please note the Police are unlikely to take action unless the vehicle is being actively driven without an MOT or Insurance. To ensure that the correct vehicle is investigated and allow us to undertake the appropriate checks please provide details of the vehicle's registration and make as we are unable to proceed without this information. Noting that the DVLA typically allow a keeper a period of a month in which to renew their tax. Please refrain from reporting untaxed vehicles until this period has expired as no enforcement action can be taken during it. We do ask that separate reports for each vehicle are logged to avoid conflicting information or updates.
