Footpath Gillmans Road to Court Road - Dog fouling
Reported via Android in the Dog Fouling category anonymously at 10:26, Thursday 24 October 2024
Sent to Bromley Council 1 month, 2 days, 8 hours, 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6653040.
Responsibility for the dog fouling clearly lays with the antisocial and irresponsible dog owners/walkers who allow the dogs to foul the footpath. However, council needs to do more to ensure that those responsible for clearing it up when it is drawn to their attention do a proper job. The footpath has many patches of poorly cleared fouling as well as some "fresh" deposits.

This too was taken after the report was marked fixed. Will you please ensure the operatives do a proper job. Whilst it's possible to avoid the fouling in daylight people shouldn't have too and can't in the dark.

• Please give brief details of your complaint or compliment below: This complaint concerns the council's response to reports of dog fouling on the footpath linking Gillmans Road and Court Raod in Orpington. Repeated repots submitted via FixMyStreet are marked as completed when little or nothing has been done to clear up the dog fouling. I am being gaslighted by the council. • What action (if any) would you like us to take? Ensure that FixMyStreet reports are properly dealt with in a timely manner.

I wondered what had happened to this report and went online to check. It was soon clear that update notifications were turned off. I cannot imagine how that happened unless it was as a result of a recent app update. I have turned them back on but as so much time has passed there is little point in pursuing this particular matter any further.
