To ensure that the correct vehicle is investigated and allow us to undertake the appropriate checks please provide details of both the vehicle's registration and make as we are unable to proceed without this information and the report will remain closed until you do. Please note that Bromley Council has the powers to deal with abandoned or untaxed vehicles only so before responding please note the following: 1. Vehicles without insurance or a MOT should be directed to the Police as we do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence. The Police will only deal with MOT incursions where the vehicle is being actively driven. 2. Members of the public can check a vehicle’s tax status themselves at https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Please note that the DVLA typically allow a keeper a grace period of around a month in which to renew their tax, so please refrain from reporting untaxed vehicles until this grace period has expired as we can be no enforcement action can be taken until this point
