Uninsured van been abandoned there for weeks. Parking is an issue down this road.

We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.

Resident has called back as police has said we would be able to move the vehicles.

Bromley has the powers to deal with abandoned or untaxed vehicles only. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as we do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence. Please note the Police are unlikely to take action unless the vehicle is being actively driven without an MOT.
