Grass maintenance crews are littering the streets

Reported via mobile in the Environmental Services category anonymously at 13:05, Tuesday 13 May 2025

Sent to Bromley Council 1 week, 16 hours, 30 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7563121.

This is a problem that affects many parts of the borough but I just witnessed it on Stone Park hence the report. Maintenance crews cut grass and then use blowers to blow dirt leaves and any other garbage onto the road. In boroughs where street sweeps are used this practice may not be a problem but Bromley and especially the Beckenham are does not sweep roads. You need to either adjust your maintenance practices or your cleaning ones because what’s happening right now is insanity and is also littering which is illegal. Please keep in mind that this happens every 2-3 weeks. You are also risking clogging up street drains and which can become quite the problem in a downpour. Honestly, I think it’s about time Bromley starts sweeping the streets but it’s really not my call.
