  • This tree is privately owned, and therefore LBB will not be reviewing this enquiry any further. You may wish to speak to the tree owners. As per the LBB Tree Management Strategy, we do not prune publicly owned (growing on land owned by the Council) trees interfering with utility cables or phone lines. Our policy is based on the 1984 Telecommunications Act whereby service providers are obligated to maintain their network in good working condition using the monthly fees customers pay. In the case of phone cables, please contact OpenReach. In the case of power cables, contact UKPN.

These companies are responsible for the repair and upkeep of their cable network including pruning back of street trees. They have specialist utility arboriculture teams to work near these lines which may involve the temporary disconnection of services.

The LBB tree surgeon contractors do not clear branches or vegetation or work around any type of overhead cables.
