Tree needs prunning - in front of 128-130 Park avenue
Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 22:04, Saturday 10 January 2026
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8664020.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to request the pruning of the tree located in front of 128-130 Park Avenue.
The tree has become significantly overgrown and is now extending over our front garden and driveway, causing obstruction and inconvenience. In addition, the branches are interfering with fibre-optic broadband cables, which raises concerns about potential damage and service disruption.
I would be grateful if the council could arrange for an inspection and carry out the necessary pruning at the earliest opportunity.
Please let me know if any further information is required.
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,
Updates

We have asked our crews to remove a few smaller dead branches and prune back limbs over the road in the next 4 weeks only. No other works will be undertaken. As per the LBB Tree Management Strategy, we do not prune trees interfering with utility cables or phone lines. Our policy is based on the 1984 Telecommunications Act whereby service providers are obligated to maintain their network in good working condition using the monthly fees customers pay. In the case of phone cables, please contact OpenReach. In the case of power cables, contact UKPN.
These companies are responsible for the repair and upkeep of their cable network including pruning back of street trees. They have specialist utility arboriculture teams to work near these lines which may involve the temporary disconnection of services.
The LBB tree surgeon contractors do not clear branches or vegetation or work around any type of overhead cables.
