  We are immensely frustrated and angered regarding this incident this morning 5am . It is completely unacceptable that i highlighted this security blind spot 6 months ago, only for my warnings to be ignored, resulting in a severe, costly, and dangerous escalation. I have every right to expect better governance and accountability.

  Here is a financial breakdown showing how the council's failure to install a CCTV camera actually costs taxpayers significantly more money, imagine how much they will spend to call the emergency services, clean up the place , repair the damaged road..yet they cant put a cctv. Appalling!!!!

• Bromley Council's failure to start the promised CCTV installation at the security blind spot previously reported.

  On 19 June 2026, the council publicly stated that work was programmed to commence on 22 June 2026. It is now 10 July 2026, and no work has begun. This delay is entirely unacceptable.

  The council has missed its own scheduled start date by nearly three weeks. Meanwhile, this location remains a severe security risk. Taxpayers continue to bear the financial burden of emergency callouts, clean-ups, and road repairs due to this ongoing negligence.

  The lamp post / street light has been compromised physical exposing its internal electrical wiring connections. The response from council is securing it with tapes. This is appalling as it presents a threat and a potential electrical safety hazard to pedestrians and passing vehicles. Especially to the current hooligans who are constantly using this blind spot to dump and burn cars .

• The new column has been installed and painted and will be connected to power when permits to work on the cable network are granted

• We have investigated and identified there is an issue with the electricity supply for this asset. Bromley Council have contacted UK Power Networks and asked them to schedule works to restore this fault.
