Vehicle repeatedly parks for days/weeks in Caygill Close
Reported via desktop in the Abandoned vehicle category anonymously at 13:59, Saturday 7 March 2026
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9063761.
This transit van has a sign on the back saying Highway Maintenance but I have good reason to believe this is not true, and someone has put this sign on to avoid parking fees. There is never any sign of it being used for maintenance work. It causes annoyance by parking in resident's bays opposite driveways, making backing out difficult. I have no idea if it has a parking permit. The driver (who I once saw) is not a resident and certainly not a highways maintenance man.

We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.
State changed to: No further action
