Water leak

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 08:58, Thursday 26 March 2026

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9189635.

This is our water meter outside our house. We reported it on 9th March (when the weather dried up and we noticed the leak, but it would have been there before but due to all the rain it wasn’t noticed), Thames water were waiting for Bromley Council to permit works, which I think has now been scheduled for 13-15th April, but why is it such a long wait and also after the Easter holidays when it will cause much more disruption?! So much water being wasted and I hope this won’t be logged as our water usage! Also why will it take 3 days? This is a leak caused by Thames water themselves when they came to fit a new meter a month ago, didn’t fit the new meter, and left it like this.

  • Thames Water finished fixing the leak at 10.50am this morning (13th April), so it now just needs to be re-instated. Who does that please? Temp lights on a very busy road which is now for no reason, as the work is complete and just needs to be re-instated. Everything takes so long and it just causes so much extra back log traffic, unneccesarily. thanks
