Today, I noticed that soil has been dug up from around the securing post by this newly planted tree/shrub. The soil needs replacing and tampering down. This replaced a mature Beech tree. I cannot understand why a shrub is planted in a grass verge by a busy road and pavement instead of a tree. It will hamper the movement of cars and pedestrians as it matures.
