Tree needs attention

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9276718.

The Acacia Tree in the middle of the turning head needs pruning as lorries are hitting the lower branches which are then left in a precarious state, occasionally falling on vehicles as they pass underneath. The tree could also benefit from a light prune above as the branches are lifting telephone cables.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Works have been issued to the contractor estimated to be completed with 28 days to crown lift the tree. Please note that as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy (tree-management-strategy-2023-to-2027 (bromley.gov.uk) the Council will not prune trees in relation to the following: • Branches or limbs in physical contact with telephone wires. Telephone wires are plastic coated and faults in the line are rarely caused by contact with branches. Residents are encouraged to contact their service provider to report and resolve any faults or interference experienced with their telephone line.
