Overflowing bins left in park
Reported via desktop in the Pavilion/Cafe/Toilet Issue category anonymously at 09:04, Friday 5 June 2026
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9565248.
The Nursery have left their overflowing bins in the park all week. The bins are in the park and not within the Nursery compound. This is becoming a regular occurance which I have reported on a number of occasioned. There are also two recyling bins marked RTS with pink lids that have been left/abandoned by the park entrance opposite the Nursery.

Thank you for your report. Contact has been made with the nursery to advise that bins should remain within their enclosure and only brought out on the refuse collection day. Officers will endeavour to monitor, but unable to be on site daily.

Further to my original report I have contacted RTS bin hire who tell me that they have a new customer in the park. (they were uanable to tell me who, but I presume it is the Nursery as I have checked with the Friends of the Park and they said it is not them) The new customer asked them to leave the bins next to the entrance in the park, not their property. Happy to send email if required.

Thank you for your update, which is helpful. The site was visited on the 10th June, where one pink lidded bin was in situ and contents were not overflowing. The nursery advised that collection was due that day. The nursery has been reminded of their responsibility to keep waste contained and bins should only be left out of the enclosure on the day of collection.
