Untax car and van

Reported via mobile in the Untaxed Vehicle category by Ana Stoneway at 09:57, Wednesday 10 June 2026

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9593499.

There are too many cars and vans parked on Lower Gravel Road without valid road tax or MOT. Our friend has already reported this issue, but it has been more than three weeks and no action has been taken. No fines have been issued so far. We would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated as soon as possible. Thank you.

  • Bromley has the powers to deal with abandoned or untaxed vehicles only. Insurance, MOT and obstruction issues should be directed to the Police as we do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence. Please note the Police will only deal with MOT and Insurance incursions where the vehicle is being actively driven without an MOT or Insurance. To ensure that the correct vehicle is investigated and allow us to undertake the appropriate checks please provide details of the vehicle's registration and make as we are unable to proceed without this information.

Please note that the DVLA typically allow a keeper a period of a month in which to renew their tax. Please refrain from reporting untaxed vehicles until this period has expired as no enforcement action can be taken during it. We do ask that separate reports for each vehicle are logged to avoid conflicting information or updates.
