Overgrown vegetation that requires pruning

The vegetation has not been attended to for sometime hence the growth which is now encroaching on the property.

  • The picture shows Wisteria--an ornamental vine planted for its flowers. The area adjacent to this address is a sheltervelt, or woodland with native trees and shrubs. Under common law, residents have the right to cut back overhanging vegetation that encroaches over their property border. • You do not have the right to cut the any trees down or reduce any trees in height. • You do not have the right cut beyond your property boundary. Cut material / Arisings must be properly disposed and cannot be left at the base of the tree, on the verge, in a public park or open space. This includes chipping, branches, leaves, and twigs.
