Abandoned car in a parking space next to a busy road

There is an abandoned vehicle in Glebe way road in coney hall near the area of co-op and Wicks and is specifically the road which leads onto the roundabout. It has been there for many months and most likely quite a few years. It looks like it hasn’t been touched in ages because it looks dirty. As well as this it has a very flat tire and when I searched the vehicle’s registration its last MOT expired in December 2024. It’s clearly purposefully been left there for advertisement and is taking up parking space. I checked on google maps and it has been in the exact same spot since July of 2025 so certainly a year considering that it is now the July of 2026, unsure if it has been there in 2024 because there isn’t date in 2024 for that location on google maps, but it most likely has since the MOT expired in 2024. The vehicle’s registration is EF57 ORV, it is a black 2007 Toyota Aygo (998cc petrol).

  • We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.
