Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9764052.

A healthy tree was removed and no replacement tree has been planted for over a year. Although it is prepared for a tree, the yellow barriers have been left for months now also.

  • As per previous enquiries for this site. The tree was removed as a last resort when no other maintenance options were available. We do not fell healthy trees. In line with Policy 4 of the Council’s Tree Management Strategy, the Council will seek to plant a replacement tree where one has been removed.

Where viable, as here where a new tree pit was built, (the plastic guard will now be removed) replacement planting is typically undertaken within the following two planting seasons which are generally between November and March. We do not give a closer time frame as it is also weather dependent as crews work across the borough planting trees.

Please note that the tree team is dedicated to caring for trees of all ages, keeping them alive and healthy for as long as possible and ensuring new trees are planted and maintained. If you would like to do more to help our newly planted trees thrive, please consider joining our Tree Friends Program. Tree Friends (bromley.gov.uk)
