Foxtails
Reported via desktop in the Weeds category anonymously at 09:59, Friday 10 July 2026
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9764387.
This park is being overrun with foxtail weeds along every part of the park. These weeds are extremely dangerous for dogs, causing huge vets bills when affecting the dogs being walked round the park. There is no need for so many of these weeds to be left to grow everywhere. If the Council wants to leave some for “wildlife reasons”, please leave only a small patch somewhere. These weeds are along EVERY part of the park. If a dog suffers a problem with the foxtails being stuck on their body, it costs a huge amount at the vet’s. I don’t think your environmental people appreciate quite how dangerous these weeds are. They are very unsightly, not a weed to be admired and have no place in a dog walking park. Please can you see to it that these weeds are cut down, leaving a safe environment for the many dogs walked round this park?
